My publisher said this’d be a good idea

I’m a private person. I stopped using my last social media account, a Facebook page, over a decade ago and never once regretted it. I bragged about it. I liked that no one could Google me. Now my name is a URL, I'm signing up for Twitter and I’m thinking of ideas for a fucking newsletter.

God help me.

So far, this part of being an author feels kind of like “being my own boss” at a multi-level-marketing scam. At least if my sales suck, I’ll have the skillset for a career at Herbalife to fall back on. Anyone want to buy some books?
